women's ministry
It is our desire that the women of Knoxville truly experience being 'born again', that they exemplify that change in their lives by being beautiful women of God as the scriptures say, "who adorn themselves in the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit which is very precious in the sight of God." (1 Peter 3:34)
It is also our desire that as they experience the life changing love of God, they become doers of the Word and not hearers only (James 1:22), able to minister by opening their mouths with wisdom and having their speech governed by the law of kindness. (Proverbs 31:26)
And finally, it is our desire and great joy to help these precious women find purpose in life by knowing God's will through His Word, by experiencing God's power through His Spirit, and by discovering God's call through serving others.
We hope you will join us, if not in person, in prayer.
Women's Retreat
Each year the Women's Ministry holds a retreat. It is a great chance to get away from your busy life and get filled up with God's Word. It is a mountain top experience for all who attend.

Women's Study
Our women's Bible study meets at 10:00am and 7:00pm on Tuesdays. The study this year is by Cheryl Brodersen (Pastor Chuck Smith's daughter) and is called "Abide in the Vine". It covers the Gospel of John.
Abortion Loss Recovery Information
In the United States, statistics tell us that 1 out of every 6 abortions are performed on women who identify themselves as 'born again' Christians. It has also been documented that, "at current rates, 43% of women will experience abortion at least once by the age of 45 years." (agi-use.org, "Facts in Brief: Induced Abortion", 2000). We know that this statistic represents many women (and men) who are silently hurting in our churches. Abortion hurt is a topic that women many times feel uncomfortable discussing in casual conversation, even amongst the best of friends.
Silent No More
We at Calvary Chapel want to help you find the help and healing that Jesus desires for you if you have experienced abortion. Through the truth of God's word, hope and healing is available to all who seek Him. Hope Resource Center (restoringhearts.org) in Knoxville offers biblically based post-abortion healing Bible studies to help aid you in this process of healing, forgiveness and reconciliation with God!
If you or someone you know has had an abortion and would like information on this study, you can contact Laurie Potter at 865-681-9397 or, if you would like to contact Hope directly, you may call Hope Resource Center at 544-7776 x 113 and leave a confidential message for class schedule information and to sign-up for a Bible study.
