Small Groups

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” (Acts 2:42 ESV)

The teaching of God’s word is absolutely essential in the life of every believer and is the number one, fundamental practice in the art of discipleship. Here, in Acts 2:42, we see that the early church was devoted to the apostles’ teaching (God’s word). Some translations say that they “continued steadfastly”. This phrase uses a Greek verb communicating “a steadfast and single-minded fidelity to a certain course of action”.

We believe strongly in the value of Bible study, and the benefits of being taught God’s word on a weekly basis by an anointed, appointed Bible teacher and pastor. For that reason, we have two weekly services where our pastor teaches God’s word in an expositional, systematic fashion. In addition to these services, our college group meets monthly for a time of Bible study and worship. More information on that is located here.

In addition to the study of God’s word, these early disciples were devoted to fellowship with other believers, the practice  of communion and individual or group prayer. We have provided these Small Group questions to be used in coordination with our audio teachings located here.

We strongly encourage you to go through these questions after listening to the correlating teaching with a group of 12 or less people. For any who are married we suggest 6 or less couples and for singles we suggest same sex groups. These groups are to be intimate and are designed for transparency and accountability.

If you wish to get connected, you can choose from the list below and email the leader by clicking on their name. If you’d like to start a small group, please send Ebo an email by clicking here. We are currently journeying through Genesis and will add a devotional every week. Please read the chapter together, discuss the devotional and pray with each other. Ask the “tough” questions. Be direct, but kind, patient and loving. This is a time to grow. We pray that you are blessed in your time with one another and that you are building Godly, lasting friendships!
