Our Vision
Every church fellowship has the call to lift up God's Name and teach His Word to the people of God. We here at Calvary Chapel are no different. But I also believe that every fellowship has a specific "way" that God wants them to accomplish this call. Each fellowship like each child of God has a certain personality, and God will use that personality and that fellowship in ministering to His people and reaching the lost for His Name. Many years ago I believe God placed on my heart that He wanted Calvary Chapel Knoxville to be a place of refuge. A place where God's people could not only come to church, but would feel comfortable living normal life there as well; A place that not only feels like your church home, but like your real home.

Growing up close to the Smoky Mountains has given me a love for the "feel" and "beauty" they bring to the heart. Hence, our desire with this project is to create an atmosphere where all feel warm, welcome, and at home, yet containing the beauty and feel of the Smoky Mountains. We hope to develop our 43 acre campus into not only a Smoky Mountain type retreat, but to eventually have a children's camp on the opposite end with quiet walking trails throughout the property. We want this to be a place where one could literally spend all day hearing and meditating on the Word of God while enjoying the beauty of His creation.

I ask that you would pray that God would use this land and its facilities to bring glory to His Name, and that it would be a place of "spiritual refuge" for all who seek its solitude.
